How the trade-up maths works
A regular contract takes ten skins of the same rarity and returns one a tier up; a Covert contract takes five and returns a knife or gloves. StatTrak and non-StatTrak items can never be mixed. The chance of a given outcome is its collection’s share of your inputs divided by how many outputs that collection has — so eight inputs from one collection and two from another split the odds 80/20, spread evenly across each collection’s outputs.
The output float is not a plain average. Each input’s float is first normalized within its own min–max range, those normalized values are averaged (the adjusted float), and that average is mapped into each output’s own float range. That’s why the adjusted average can differ from the raw average — and why float-capped skins need this method to predict wear correctly.
Pool position (#N) is a deterministic CSHints ordering of a contract’s output pool, so you can see exactly where your target sits among the possible results. It is a CSHints convenience, not an official in-game number. Prices are real and clearly sourced; anything without a price is shown as unavailable, never counted as zero.
